Providing independent clinical, school and home based assessment and consultation services to support individuals aged 3 years through to adults. Referrals are accepted from other professionals for the evaluation and support of individuals for a range of needs. Schools and other private and government agencies may also refer for specific services. Corporate services are provided to assist families living and working outside Australia. Summary of practice and services
- Assessment of the educational and learning related behaviours of individuals using both standardized and observational techniques to define and identify levels of skills and specific learning needs.
- To provide "plain English" reports detailing the results including an individual Developmental Learning Profile (DLP).
- To formulate specific recommendations and strategies to assist the learner.
- The assessment of the academic performance of groups of children, to generate a Group Learning Profile (GLP). These profiles are used to structure year intakes of schools, to identify children with special needs and to provide senior staff with advice about the current (and future) needs of particular individuals and subgroups of children.
- To prepare and deliver lectures and seminars in areas of expertise.
- Corporate services focused on providing advice to organizations to assist senior staff gaining and maintaining postings in where families are involved in 'international' schooling. In particular providing Australian or on site assessment services and advice to support children being schooled outside Australia.
- Legal services aimed a providing assistance and advice as an expert witness to assist courts and tribunals (in Australia).
- Provider for the Ronald McDonald Learning Program; Queensland Association for Gifted and Talented Children; SPELD Queensland.
- Registered provider to Medicare Australia and major Australian private health funds.
- Author of the Book Shuffle concept and project promoter.

Research and Development Activities
Research into aspects of Early Literacy Development
This research involved a longitudinal (PhD) study comprising the description and analysis of early literacy development and its relationship to the knowledge and attitudes about literacy held by children, parents and teachers. The project now completed was under the supervision of Professor John Elkins at the Graduate School of Education, The University of Queensland (abstract).
